Privacy Policy

Canada Rental Agreement is designed so that the details of your tenancy stay with you. This policy explains what we collect and why.

Your agreement answers

The answers you enter in the questionnaire (names, addresses, rent, and other tenancy terms) are saved in your own browser's local storage so you can leave and come back. They are sent to our server only when you generate the PDF, and only for the seconds needed to render the document. We do not store your answers or your documents on our servers, and we do not use them for any other purpose.

Payments

Payments are processed by Whop. We never see or store your card number. Whop shares with us a payment reference so we can confirm the purchase succeeded and unlock your document. Whop's own privacy policy governs the information you provide during checkout.

Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how people move through the questionnaire, for example which step they reach and whether checkout loads. This is configured so that no form answers, names, addresses or amounts are ever sent, IP addresses are not stored, session recording is disabled, and no advertising profile is built. If the site was reached through an advertising campaign we record the campaign parameters so we can measure the campaign.

Cookies and storage

We do not set tracking cookies. Local storage in your browser holds your draft agreement, your purchase unlock, an anonymous visitor identifier for analytics, and any campaign parameters from the link you arrived on. You can clear these at any time from your browser settings or by choosing "Start over" in the questionnaire.

Service providers

• Vercel hosts the website and generates documents.
• Whop processes payments.
• PostHog provides product analytics.

Your rights

Because we do not keep your answers or documents, there is normally nothing for us to retrieve or delete. We comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act.
