Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of Canada Rental Agreement (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. What the Service is

The Service is self-help document software. It assembles a residential tenancy agreement from the answers you provide, using templates written for the province you select. The Service does not review your answers for legal sufficiency and does not provide legal advice.

2. Not a law firm

Canada Rental Agreement is not a law firm, is not a substitute for a lawyer, and does not create a solicitor-client relationship. If you need legal advice about your situation, consult a lawyer licensed in your province.

3. Purchases

Access to download and print a completed agreement requires a one-time payment of $34.99 CAD, processed by Whop. The purchase unlocks the agreement you completed, including the ability to edit your answers and re-download the document. Because the product is delivered digitally and immediately, purchases are non-refundable except where required by law or where the document could not be generated due to a fault in the Service. 4. Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for reviewing the finished document before it is signed.
• You confirm that you are entitled to enter into the agreement and that you will use the document only for lawful purposes.
• Residential tenancy law changes. You are responsible for confirming that the document still reflects current law when you use it.

5. Intellectual property

The templates, clause library, software and design of the Service are owned by Canada Rental Agreement. You receive a licence to use documents generated for your own tenancy. You may not resell or redistribute the templates.

6. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Canada Rental Agreement is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the document in question.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed.
